3/1/12

Gregg: For Christmas my father gave me a Remington 870 12-guage shotgun.  We had the chance to take it out for some skeet shooting over the holiday break.

Checking out the old World War I era .30-06 sniper rifle handed down from my  great grandma.

Educating Mason on the proper ammo for each  gun.
Took awhile to get the hang of it.
If you look closely behind mason there is a big white board with a circle target painted on it.
To the right of this are two smaller white blurbs - Those are milk jugs filled with water.

Mason surveying the area ensuring proper safety guidelines were in place.
Tiffany: It is amazing to watch someone shoot the container and have it explode!
I have yet to do this, however, Tyler brought a friend who shot it on her first shot.
She says she hasn't really shot before... I don't buy it though! Either way, it was an awesome sight.

Finally getting to use his Christmas present
I came along to ensure the safety of my five year old son who took part in the target practice.
This is before we started shooting.
No, I don't hold a gun like that.
Let's be honest here - I wanted to shoot just as much as Gregg!!

Tyler is a natural marksman.

Mason was able to hold Tyler's gun to shoot with.
It is light and automatic.
Mason actually has quite a bit of experience shooting handguns.  We live in a rough neighborhood so he regularly packs heat.  He carries a Glock in his waistband just in case he needs to pop a cap.

Mason blowing away some little animal in the forest.

Tyler has a .22 rifle from Christmas of last year.
Mason found some of the .30-06 shells.
