Lace or No Lace??

I am in the process of sewing a new skirt,

But, I need some help making a decision!

To add Lace randomly in between a few of the folds, OR

to NOT add lace randomly in between a few of the folds??

My not-so-patient helper can't decide either.

By the way, those fringe looking things on the sides??

Those won't be there when I'm done.

I will be sewing the skirt right sides together before all of this is done.

I just have to make a decision first...

This definitely wasn't my finest piece of work, but I think it turned out pretty well. Wearable at least? My trusty photographer spared me a few seconds of his time to snap this 'after' shot. Hence the blury-ness (I mean, artistic-ness) ha!
