here is a run down of my day:
5:45 a.m.- I woke up two hours early this morning so that I could take the truck in to the shop before going to work 30 minutes early.
I thought I would get ready and pack our bags/lunches so that as I was walking out the door I could throw clothes on mason and put him in the truck.
Reality was not my friend this morning because mason was in the shower with me at 5:48 a.m. The rest of the morning went that way as well, and with some changes in plans it ended up that i only needed to be up one hour early instead of two. My ride to work couldn't get me until 8 a.m.
So on to work...
I think all the parents fed their kids lollipops and sugar straight from the canister because the kids were extra CRAZY today. It was like the day before christmas vacation - a mad house - in our classroom!!
As if the day weren't terrible enough, it gets worse...
After work I was able to pick up my truck in time to make it to Mason's Doctor appointment. (this is the postive of the day!!) it turns out that after the staff infection in his ear cleared out his tube fell back into place which means we don't have to have it replaced and his tonsels and adnoids are saftley attached to his body still! yay! (for now...)
Here is the sad part of the day-
I got a call during lunch today that our beloved pet, Coco, had passed away that morning. SO... after mason's appointment we went to Nana's house (who had been pet sitting for us) to pay our respects and bury our guinea pig. My heart melted just seeing all the dots connect in his ever growing brain and I watched sadness and concern and happiness mixed with not quite sure feelings flow over his face. as we were leaving he felt the need to call Nana and tell her about our funeral service.
Mason: Nana!? My Coco died. Ya, shes dead. My Coco not moving.
Nana: I'm sorry Mason. How are you feeling?
Mason: (with quick realization forming in his facial expressions) My Coco not need water. And She not play anymore.
Mason: My Coco in sky with Jesus.
I don't know if that melts your heart like mine because I kno whe isn't your son but it definately touched my heart and was something very important for me to share with mason. I hope I will never forget his tenderness as I watched him interact with our now deceased Coco.
Although I do wish that in time I DO forget the rest of my day!!
So here is the worst part of my day -
It's now 5p.m. and remember that external hardrive that I took in to the shop a while back??
Well because of some delays (not my fault - theirs.) I was just now going in to pick it up. The receptionist told me my balance (insanely high!!!) I asked to speak with the owner, and she had him call me back ( he wasn't at the shop).
This is where it gets UGLY! The Guy calls me back, gets offended at the very thought that I would question the amount billed for the amount of time spent on my Hardrive. He flips out and is very rude to me. starts expaining that he has been in business since the 80s and the idea of me questioning his area of expertice (yes these are his words) is offensive. In the end he has chewed me out, been disrespectful AND HANGS UP ON ME!! Lets just say gregg is now a little angry and gets the same treatment and the same HANG UP ending. and we are left with a 5 minute ultimatum of picking up our hardrive and paying the amount or he's going to (and I quote) throw it in the TRASH!
I'm stuck at home with Mason a sleep and Gregg is at school waiting for the bus. Apparently that is the same 'story' that they all say because that's what the guy said when Gregg explained this to him. My mom tried to pick it up but he was gone from the store so hopefully she is able to just pay the guy tomarrow and get our hard drive back SO that we can REPORT his NASTY BEHAVIOR to the Better Business Bureau!
I'm exhausted. it's now 12 a.m. and I still can't shake this guy from my thoughts in order to fall asleep.
AND IT'S ONLY TUESDAY! :(
